Rush Into Heaven takes Pinjara

ARCADIA, Calif. - Rush Into Heaven avoided the traffic that plagued several rivals to score his first stakes win in Saturday's $78,300 Pinjara Stakes at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Iggy Puglisi, Rush Into Heaven ($20.40) rallied wide to win by a nose over Lucky Pulpit, who was stuck in traffic in mid-stretch. Mister Bere, the 3-1 favorite, rallied from ninth to finish third in the field of 10 2-year-olds. Mister Bere was held up at the eighth pole, but made up ground once clear in the final furlong.

Rush Into Heaven finished a mile on turf in 1:37.38. Trained by Paul Aguirre for Jason Wood, Rush Into Heaven has won 2 of 5 starts and $74,063.
