Running Bride takes City of Anderson

Running Bride disposed of a field of 10 Indiana-bred 2-year-old fillies in quick order when winning the $70,000 City of Anderson at Hoosier Park on Saturday.

Jockey Rodney Prescott had Running Bride on the inside while dueling with Edgewise and Ms. Red Hawk to upper stretch before drawing clear in midstretch to win by 3 3/4 lengths.

Trained by Eddie Keneally, Running Bride is now 2 for 2 lifetime, with both wins locally by a combined 10 3/4 lengths.

Edgewise was second, five lengths in front of entrymate Impressively in third. Dreamer of Dreams ran fourth and completed the trifecta.

Running Bride ran the 5 1/2 furlongs over a fast track in 1:06.00 and returned $3.80 to win as the favorite.
