The two best races on the nine-race program are race 6, a second-level allowance for Pennsylvania-breds, and race 8, a third-level optional-claiming race. Both are at six furlongs.

Although Roxbury N Overton has twice as many seconds as wins, he should be very difficult to beat while returning to statebred company in race 6. He returns on 13 days’ rest for trainer Ramon Preciado after finishing second by a nose to El Kabeir in the $100,000 City of Laurel Stakes at Laurel Park.

Roxbury N Overton gutted it out on the lead in the City of Laurel and just failed to last over the late-running El Kabeir, who has won four stakes and $834,000 from 11 career starts. It was a nose farther back to three-time stakes winner Duff in third.

Roxbury N Overton has a 13-3-6-0 record and $177,000 in earnings.

Love Came to Town will be favored in race 8 for the father-son team of Gerald and Kevin Sleeter. Love Came to Town, a New Jersey homebred, has won 4 of 9 starts this year and was beaten a nose at this level Nov. 2.

Love Came to Town is the first foal out of Talkin About Love, who was trained by Kevin Sleeter and won three stakes, including the Grade 3 Monmouth Oaks. In all, Talkin About Love won 9 of 38 starts and $741,000.
