Rose Catherine switches surfaces for Starlet

Beautician and Blind Luck, the second and third-place finishers of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies last month, lead a field of seven 2-year-old fillies entered for Sunday's Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes.

The field had a surprise entrant in Rose Catherine, who was second in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf. Trained by Todd Pletcher, Rose Catherine is seeking her first stakes win, and first win on a synthetic main track.

The other entrants include Bickersons, Miss Heather Lee, and It Tiz, the first three finishers of the Moccasin Stakes here on Nov. 22; and Amen Hallelujah, who was third in the Grade 1 Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 9.

Suzanne, a Florida-based filly who has started in three stakes, and Harissa, the winner of a maiden race here in November, were not entered.

The Starlet Stakes, run over 1 1/16 miles, is the feature race on closing day of the Hollywood Park fall meeting. The Santa Anita winter-spring meeting opens on Dec. 26.
