Rolling Sea much the best in Central Iowa

ALTOONA, Iowa - Rolling Sea ($2.20) overpowered her three rivals in Saturday's $45,000 Central Iowa Stakes at Prairie Meadows, drawing off in hand to win by 10 1/2 lengths. With the field reduced to four horses, Prairie Meadows, for the first time in track history, offered win wagering only and the 1-9 favorite didn't disappoint.

Following the race, jockey Joel Campbell quipped that this race was nothing more than a workout for the 4-year-old Rolling Sea, who is likely to make her next start at Keeneland next month.

Rolling Sea set a stakes record when she went under the wire in a time of 1:42.12 for 1 1/16 miles.

* West Coast Coach ($4.60) wore down Maya's Storm in the final 100 yards to capture the $45,000 Prairie Meadows Freshman, running the fastest six furlongs ever by a 2-year-old at Prairie Meadows. Sent off as the second choice, West Coast Coach was clocked in 1:09.21.

* Bathed in Blue ($14.20) scored by three-quarters of a length in the Prairie Meadows Debutante for 2-year-old fillies.
