Rockport Harbor at Oaklawn

Rockport Harbor, a top Kentucky Derby candidate trained by John Servis, arrived at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark., on Thursday morning from his base at Philadelphia Park. He is pointing for Oaklawn's 3-year-old series, which Servis swept last year with Smarty Jones, who went on to win the Kentucky Derby and Preakness.

After his 20-hour van ride, Rockport Harbor was placed in the same stall Smarty Jones occupied last year.

Rockport Harbor is undefeated in four starts, and in his last he won the Grade 2 Remsen at Aqueduct on Nov 27. He came out of the race with a gash on his right hind foot.

"It's not 100 percent yet," said Servis, "but I'm really happy with it."

Servis has yet to determine Rockport Harbor's 3-year-old debut.

"If he can make the Southwest, that will be the race," said Servis. "If he can't, we can wait for the Rebel."

The $100,000 Southwest, over one mile, is scheduled for Feb. 19, while the Grade 3, $250,000 Rebel at 1 1/16 miles will be run on March 19.
