Robert Forbeck joins Daily Racing Form as National Advertising Director


New York, N.Y. (February 26, 2016) Daily Racing Form has hired Robert Forbeck for the newly created position of National Advertising Director. Forbeck will manage major advertising relationships and track partnerships across the eastern and central United States and Canada. He will report to Ben Cambra, Senior Vice President, Business Development & Sponsorships.

Forbeck most recently was Sales Manager at iHeartMedia in Cincinnati, Ohio, the leading media group in the Greater Cincinnati market. He oversaw growth strategies for 700WLW, one of the Top 10 radio stations in the country, which included the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals radio networks. He spent 15 years in different sales and management capacities growing that business.

Prior to iHeartMedia, Forbeck was Director of Marketing and Communications for Turfway Park from 1997-2001, where he directed all sales, marketing and communications initiatives for the Kentucky track. He also was part of the team that grew the Spiral Stakes to a Grade 2 event. An avid racing fan and seasoned handicapper, Forbeck follows the sport closely and attends the races regularly.

Forbeck will manage Daily Racing Form’s expanded portfolio of sponsorship offerings across print and digital platforms, including feature video programming, DRFLive! real-time reporting and live video coverage, a new tournament platform, ESPN.com Horse Racing, Breeding & Sales integration, carryover messaging and integrated social media campaigns.
