River Downs track report

Hackendiffy, winner of the Hoover Stakes last weekend, will be pointed to the $200,000 Cradle Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on Labor Day, owner David Eigel said. Eigel said that Hackendiffy, who won the Cleveland Kindergarten at Thistledown before the Hoover, is following the same route Harlan's Holiday took to the Cradle last year.

* John McKee is officially in the driver's seat for leading rider honors. The 20-year-old apprentice had 74 wins through Tuesday's card, six more than journeymen Larry Taylor and Bill Trolio. The trainers' race remains tight, with Ron Powell leading with 24 wins, one ahead of Luis Palacios and four more than Joe Woodard.

* When Doubly Fun captured her third consecutive Ms. Southern Ohio Stakes last weekend, she became the fourth horse to have won a stakes three consecutive times at River Downs. Others who accomplished the feat were The Fierce Look (Buckeye Native, 1991-93), Royal Harmony (Governor's Buckeye Cup (1969-71), and Hy Carol (Myrtlewood, 1976-78).
