River Downs: Luvaprivate by DQ

Sarah Jane, a daughter of Northern Spur making her turf debut, crossed the wire first by a half-length in the $50,000 Tomboy Stakes for Ohio-bred 3-year-old fillies at River Downs, but she was disqualified and placed second behind Luvaprivate after veering out and bumping that rival in the final yards. Tommeyesgold, who had taken a brief lead at the top of the stretch, held on for third. Money Card, the 2-1 favorite, retreated at the quarter pole and finished sixth.

The Tomboy marked the first stakes victory for Luvaprivate ($14.40), who was bred by co-owner Bruce Ryan, who owns the filly in partnership with Blazing Meadows Farm. Trained by Tim Hamm, Luvaprivate was ridden to victory by Irwin Rosendo, who was also aboard for her maiden victory at River Downs last summer.

Luvaprivate has now won 4 of her 9 career starts and has earnings of over $67,000. The winning time over a firm turf was 1:45.40.
