Rider wins six races in a row at Suffolk

Jockey Tammi Piermarini won with six consecutive mounts at Suffolk Downs over the Wednesday and Saturday cards. Piermarini won with her last two mounts on Wednesday, and then won with her first four mounts on Saturday. Suffolk was dark on Thursday and Friday.

A week after winning four races on opening day last Saturday, Piermarini won the first three races on Saturday with Platinum Edition ($4.80), Yes We Can ($3.80), and Sonic Take Off ($4.20). After sitting out race 4, she won the fifth with Left on Sycamore ($3.80). Her streak came to an end in the sixth race when she finished second.

Piermarini, who turned 40 on May 2, has now won 10 races from 22 mounts over the first three days of the meet. Piermarini, whose agent is her husband, missed most of the 2006 meet while pregnant with their second child.
