Retama: Where Woody Bea scores


Where Woody Bea became a stakes winner when she led throughout for a two-length win in the $65,000 Margarita Breeders' Cup at Retama Park. Tale of Freedom finished second, 1 3/4 lengths clear of third-place finisher Truth by Ruth.

Where Woody Bea ($5) covered 1 1/16 miles over firm turf in 1:43.67. Roman Chapa rode the winner for trainer Scott Blasi and owner John Sikura Jr. - Mary Rampellini

Remington: Lumbre by four

Lumbre was prominent throughout for a four-length win over Outlaw Cowboy in the $50,000 Silver Goblin Stakes at Remington Park. It was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third to Marq French.

Lumbre ($11.80) was with the pace through fractions of 21.84 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.02 for the half. He went on to cover the 6 1/2 furlongs for Oklahoma-breds in 1:15.54. Glen Murphy rode the winner for trainer Bret Calhoun.
