Adorable One just beat a similar field at Santa Anita and should be the one to beat in Wednesday's featured seventh race. The six-furlong first-level allowance/$40,000 optional claiming race is for 3-year-old fillies and drew a strong field of 11.

Adorable One is still eligible for the first-level condition because the allowance race she won last out at Santa Anita was restricted to California-breds and does not count against her conditions. Adorable One has made only four starts thus far in her career and has enjoyed great success.

A chestnut daughter of Bold Badgett, she began her career in January at Santa Anita, winning her debut by a neck. She finished third in her next try in allowance company at a mile, then was laid off until she returned in September at Pomona, where she just missed by a nose in a six-furlong sprint. Last out, she bobbled at the start but quickly gained command and posted a two-length triumph in a 6 1/2-furlong contest.

Flying Torie and From Venus appear likely to offer the stiffest opposition in Wednesday's feature. Flying Torie just won a similar conditioned allowance contest in her last start and is eligible back because she was entered for the $40,000 claiming price that day. Flying Torie gained her second straight victory here on Sept. 26 after a nose decision against $32,000 starter allowance foes back in February.

From Venus has already posted three victories this season and has five wins in her career. She finished a game second in an overnight handicap at Emerald Downs before shipping here. Last out she was bumped at the start and raced evenly to finish fifth in allowance company.

Cow in Solana and Slew's Daughter also have chances at the top prize on Wednesday. Cow in Solana finished second to Portage Lake in her first local try. In her previous start at Del Mar, she downed a band of $50,000 claimers by a nose.

Slew's Daughter returned from a six-month vacation to finish fifth behind Flying Torie as the favorite last out on Sept. 26. She had run strong seconds twice earlier this season at Golden Gate Fields and should improve with that last out under her.
