Renewed Vows extended her winning streak to five on Saturday, when she held on for a neck win over Little Vidalia in a rare two-turn start in the $85,000 Peppers Pride Handicap at Sunland Park. It was another three-quarters of a length back in third to B Bold Cindy.

The Peppers Pride was a one-mile race restricted to fillies and mares bred in New Mexico.

Renewed Vows ($6) settled off the pace in the early stages of the Peppers Pride, as Zasha and Way to Go Gerta dueled through an opening half-mile in 46.79 seconds. Renewed Vows advanced through six furlongs in 1:10.85, took the lead in the stretch,  and held off Little Vidalia to cover the distance on a track rated fast in 1:37.78.

Isaias Enriquez was aboard the winner for R.D. Hubbard and trainer Bart Hone.

Renewed Vows began her streak in August and during her run she has won three stakes. She was the champion New Mexico-bred 3-year-old of 2014. Renewed Vows on Saturday earned $51,000 for her win to lift her career totals to 6 wins from 12 starts for earnings of $264,644.

Renewed Vows is a daughter of the Forest Wildcat stallion Attila’s Storm, and she was bred by Hubbard.
