Remington Park has released the stakes schedule for its Quarter Horse meet that opens March 11 and the 40-race calendar will be worth a track-record $5.7 million. The stakes program is led by the Grade 1, $1.1 million Heritage Place Futurity on the final card of the meet June 4.

The Heritage Place will anchor a program of eight stakes with the card expected to be worth more than $2 million. Other races making up the meet finale will include the Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Championship and the Grade 2, $370,000 Heritage Place Derby.

Other major races include the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Futurity on March 26. It is the oldest futurity in Quarter Horse history, having been run for the first time in 1947, according to a release from Remington. It is set for its 75th running.

The $820,000 Remington Park Futurity for Oklahoma-breds is set for April 23.

Remington’s first round of training races will be held Feb. 10.
