Remington Park track report

Rockchalk Jayhawk, who won the $35,000 Remington Green on turf by disqualification in his last start, will move back to the main track Saturday night at Remington in the $18,500 Tip Tap, a 1 1/16-mile overnight handicap. As the 123-pound highweight, he will spot his rivals four to 11 pounds. Don Pettinger has the mount for trainer Donnie Von Hemel.

Remington will close out its meet Sunday with the $75,000 MEC Mile for 2-year-olds. In addition to the purse, the winner will receive an all-fees-paid berth into the 2004 Oklahoma Derby.

Next year, the track's Quarter Horse meet will open April 2 and run 28 days through May 31. There are 22 stakes scheduled, including the Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Quarter Horse Futurity on April 24 and the Grade 1, $500,000 Heritage Place Futurity on May 29.

Before the meet opens, trials for the $200,000 Lazy E Futurity on April 10 will be held at Remington on March 20.
