Remington: Fast shipper for Gaylord

Jazzy Okie will be making her first start at Remington Park in the $40,000 E.L. Gaylord Memorial for 2-year-old fillies, but she is working like she owns the Oklahoma City track. In the last two weeks, Jazzy Okie has worked consecutive bullets, both four-furlong moves in 46.80 seconds at Remington.

Jazzy Okie invades from Arlington, where in her last start, Sept. 18, she finished fourth in the Grade 3 Arlington-Washington Lassie. Jazzy Okie should be sharp for the cutback from one mile to 6 1/2 furlongs because of her recent works. The last time she raced at a similar distance, she defeated male rivals to win the $88,000 Iowa Stallion Futurity at six furlongs at Prairie Meadows.

Trainer Donnie Von Hemel has given the mount to Don Pettinger.
