Remington card offers a half-dozen stakes

Remington Park has six stakes for Quarter Horses on tap Saturday night, the biggest being the $850,000 Oklahoma Bred Futurity. The 330-yard race is for 2-year-olds bred in Oklahoma.

A field of 10 will go, including Lotta Pyc, who is undefeated in two starts. He won his career debut in a Remington Park maiden race on March 10, then returned to take his trial for the Oklahoma Bred Futurity on March 31. Lotta Pyc covered 330 yards in 16.58 seconds to set the fastest qualifying time for the series. G.R. Carter Jr., who has been aboard for all of his races, has the mount once again for owner Steve A. Holt and trainer Rodney Reed.

Other stakes on the Remington card include the $250,000 Oklahoma Bred Derby, and the Grade 2, $50,000 Bob Moore Memorial, which is the lone open-company stakes Saturday.

* Remington has inducted nine individuals into its Hall of Fame, including Jacky Martin, the rider paralyzed in a spill last fall at Ruidoso Downs, and Stolis Winner, who is the all-time leading earner among Quarter Horses. The ceremony was Wednesday at Remington.
