Email

Jockey Cliff Berry won six races on opening night of the Remington Park meet Friday, including the $40,000 Adena Springs Matchmaker with Timeless Dreamer.

Timeless Dreamer ($10) was up for a neck win over Runs Naked in the five-furlong turf sprint for fillies and mares, which was run over a course rated good. It was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third to favorite Queena Corrina.

"She got clear at the right time," said Berry, who rode Timeless Dreamer for trainer Chuck Turco and owners Jack and Christine Henry.

Timeless Dreamer covered the distance in 56.98 seconds. The win was her first in a stakes.

Berry had eight mounts on the

10-race card, and his wins came with Nokomo ($5.60) in the first; This Is Doc ($6.80) in the fourth; Pass the Biscuits ($5.60) in the seventh; Timeless Dreamer in the eighth; Coolest ($3.40) in the ninth; and You're My Prize ($3.20) in the 10th.

Berry's six wins equaled Remington's record for wins by a jockey on a card. Tim Doocy set the mark in 1993, and Berry also achieved the feat in 2001. Berry is a nine-time title winner at Remington.

* Attendance was 2,589, and handle on the card was $611,091.
