Red's Round Table collects first stakes win in White Clay Creek

Red’s Round Table, who began her career running for a claiming tag, became a stakes winner Wednesday afternoon when she splashed her way to a front-running 6 3/4-length victory under Joe Rocco Jr. in the $50,000 White Clay Creek Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Delaware Park.

In winning for the third time in four starts, Red’s Round Table ($11.20) covered six furlongs on a wet, sealed track in 1:11.25. Based at Laurel Park with trainer Tim Keefe, Red’s Round Table suffered her only loss when she was fractious in the gate before the start of the $94,000 Sorority at Monmouth Park in early September.

Spring Jump, the longest shot on the board at 14-1, got up for second by a nose over Mis Vizcaya in a field reduced to five by the scratch of Doing Great.
