Redneck Humor returned $3 for his one-length victory in Monday's Premier Cup Stakes.

Redneck Humor won his sixth consecutive stakes race Monday at Zia Park, where he was always prominent for a length victory over Pink Cotton in the $50,000 Premier Cup. It was another two lengths back in third to Mt Veeder.

The Premier was the first stakes of the meet that opened Saturday. The six-furlong race was for 3-year-olds and up and it is expected to produce starters for the $75,000 Zia Park Sprint on the $1.2 million Land of Enchantment card Nov. 22.

That race is a goal for Redneck Humor, according to his trainer, Justin Evans. The horse was given some time off with the Zia meet in mind after winning his fifth straight race in the $55,000 Budweiser Special on July 8 at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Redneck Humor ($3) returned sharp as a tack, as he broke on top in the Premier. He was hooked by Boalt Hall through an opening quarter in 21.82 seconds and continued to duel with that one through a half-mile in 44.18. In the stretch, Redneck Humor was diligent, covering the distance on fast track in 1:09.45.

Redneck Humor is unbeaten this year, with all six of his starts resulting in wins in stakes dating back to the $75,000 Budweiser Handicap in February at Sunland. During his streak he's also won the Bill Thomas Memorial at Sunland, the Inaugural Handicap at SunRay Park, and the Arapahoe Park Sprint.

Miguel Perez was aboard Redneck Humor in the Premier for the ownership of Vanessa Evans, Earl Neugebauer and K.W. Sharp. The horse earned $30,000 for the win, which was the 14th victory of his 28-race career. Redneck Humor has now earned $422,720.

Redneck Humor, who has won eight career stakes, is a 6-year-old by Da Stoops. He was bred in Florida by Jacks or Better Farm.
