Redatory improved his career record to 2 for 2 on Friday night at Remington Park, leading throughout to win the $100,000 Clever Trevor by 2 1/4 lengths over Bode’s Maker. It was another neck back in third to favorite Flat Lucky.  The Clever Trevor served as the local prep for the $400,000 Springboard Mile on Dec. 17 at Remington. The Springboard Mile will carry Kentucky Derby eligibility points for the first time this year.  Redatory ($11.80) broke from the outside in the 10-horse field Friday and proceeded to lead his rivals through an opening quarter in 22.32 seconds and a half-mile in 45.31. Land Battle then Bode’s Maker took after the leader on the turn and into the stretch, but Redatory had more and went on to cover seven furlongs on a fast track in 1:23.56. “We were going to try to bring the horse off the pace a little but, but he broke on top and he was so comfortable,” said winning rider David Cabrera. :: Enjoy news and analysis from DRF? Trainer Allen Dupuy, a retired jockey, said Redatory will be pointed for the Springboard Mile. “I always did like this horse,” Dupuy said. “He’s got a good mind on him.” Redatory is a son of Oratory who was bred in Texas by his owner, James Wessel. Redatory earned $60,000 for his win in the Clever Trevor, which came one start after a maiden special weight victory Oct. 7 at Remington.
