Red Vine among five added to Fasig-Tipton November catalog

Red Vine, who is pre-entered in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile, was one of five horses added on Friday as supplemental entries to the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall select mixed sale.

The 5-year-old son of Candy Ride will be offered as a racing or stallion prospect. He has won five of 19 starts for earnings of $565,715. He won the Majestic Light Stakes on May 23 at Monmouth, followed by in-the-money efforts in the Grade 3 Salvator Mile Stakes, Grade 1 Pacific Classic Stakes, and most recently in the Grade 2 Kelso Handicap.

Brookdale Sales will consign Red Vine as agent for Jon and Sarah Kelly and Don and Joan Cimpl. The horse is out of the winning Storm Creek mare Murky Waters, who is herself half sister to Grade 3 winner Fort Prado.

Also supplemented into the catalog was Grade 2 winner I Spent It, a 3-year-old son of Super Saver who sells as a stallion prospect. Consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, agent, I Spent It is from the family of Champion Timber Country, Broodmare of the Year Fall Aspen, and Grade 1 winner Dixie Union.

The latest round of supplemental entries also includes Murky Waters, the dam of Red Vine; Alina, the dam of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies and Juvenile Fillies Turf pre-entrant Nemoralia; and a weanling colt from the first crop of Graydar out of the Grade 3-placed Forestry mare Sisti’s Pride, who is the dam of stakes-placed Zermatt.

The Fasig-Tipton November sale will take place Sunday, Nov. 1, beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern. The supplemental entries will go through the ring at the end of the regular catalog.
