Email

Red Rocks, winner of the 2006 Breeders' Cup Turf, will return to America to continue his stud career at Calumet Farm in Lexington, Ky.

The 11-year-old son of international titan Galileo previously stood at Centro Equino Arcadia in Italy, where he entered stud in 2010. His fee at Calumet will be announced at a later date.

Red Rocks defeated Better Talk Now by a half-length in the 2006 BC Turf, and finished third in the event the following year. He also captured the Grade 1 Man O' War Stakes in 2008, defeating Horse of the Year Curlin and Better Talk Now.

Red Rocks was also a Group 3 winner and classic-placed in England, and Group 1-placed in France. He bankrolled $2,903,382 while competing in six countries.

From two crops of racing age, Red Rocks has sired 36 winners from 83 starters to date, led by Italian stakes winner Grey Greezly, who finished second in the Group 1 Gran Criterium.

Red Rocks joins an expanding stud roster at Calumet that currently numbers 11 stallions. Also new to the roster for 2015 after standing elsewhere are turf champion and solid sire English Channel, Preakness Stakes winner Oxbow, Sovereign Award winner Musketier, and graded stakes winner Ready's Image.
