Nike Franco N (pace) and Emoticon Hanover (trot) were the winners of the two Allerage Farms stakes events for mares that took place on a sloppy Sunday afternoon at The Red Mile. A full field of ten lined up in the $105,000 Allerage for female pacers, and Pure Country (Mark MacDonald) was able to overcome her post ten starting spot to clear Wrangler Magic (Louis-Philippe Roy) at the 28 second opening quarter.  After Pure Country struck the front, David Miller guided Blue Moon Stride first-up out of fourth, and she overhauled Pure Country before the 55 second half-mile marker. Public choice Lady Shadow (Yannick Gingras) would be the next mare to test things first-up, and she would gain around the rim on the final bend, getting to within striking distance of Blue Moon Stride at the 1:22 4/5 three-quarters.  Nike Franco N (Tim Tetrick) followed Lady Shadow's bid, then fanned three-deep as the mares raced into the lane. Through the stretch Blue Moon Stride was able to fend off Lady Shadow, but Nike Franco N was pacing stoutly three-wide in the slop, and she would hit the lead inside the final sixteenth before she kicked away to win by almost two lengths in 1:51 2/5.  Blue Moon Stride was next, followed by Lady Shadow, Bedroomconfessions (Scott Zeron), and Pure Country. Jim King Jr. trains Nike Franco N, a 7-year-old McArdle mare, for owner Richard Poillucci.  Nike Franco N is now a 27-time winner in her life, and she pushed her bankroll to $672,580.  Nike Franco N, sent off at 4-1, paid $10.00 to win. The $67,000 Allerage Farms for mare trotters kicked off the program, and 1-2 favorite Pasithea Face S (Tim Tetrick) led the way through fractions of 28 3/5, 56 3/5, and 1:24 2/5, with 7-5 second choice Emoticon Hanover (Dan Dube) riding in the pocket. Dube angled Emoticon Hanover out as the mares turned into the stretch, and after a stretch-long battle, Emoticon Hanover poked her nose in front right on the wire, winning in 1:51 2/5 over the sloppy going.  Charmed Life (Roy) was third, followed by Caprice Hill (Yannick Gingras) and Broadway Donna (David Miller). A daughter of Kadabra, Emoticon Hanover is trained by Luc Blais for owner Determination (Serge Godin).  Emoticon Hanover picked up her 15th career victory, and she has now earned $907,302.  Emoticon Hanover returned $4.80 to win.
