Red Mile: Friday 9/28 Analysis

Best Bet: I LUV THE NIGHTLIFE (3rd)     Spot Play: ETRUSCAN HANOVER (8th)

Race 1

(1) BULL SPREADER returns to Pierce tonight and the filly can work out a live trip from this spot. (10) KIJAFA was an also-ran in the KY Sire Stakes final; prior efforts were encouraging, however. (7) SWEET BEN gets Campbell in the bike and he was pretty game over the half at Delaware.

Race 2

(6) MAJOR ATHENS has been a big player on the PA Sire Stakes circuit, always showing big speed. Sears should make his way to the front and he may never look back. (3) MYSTICAL DEW deserves plenty of respect off that jogola score in the KY Sired final. (7) BIZZARO LINDY gets Tetrick in the bike, could show improvement.

Race 3

(4) I LUV THE NIGHTLIFE was dead-game in defeat in the Champlain at Mohawk; Rocknroll Hanover offspring looks to have a world of ability and he deserves to be the odds-on chalk here. (8) MATTIE TERROR GIRL tightened up with an overnight score up in Canada; prior efforts showed some willing finishes. (1) MISS MADI M has speed and could be lurking close-up from this spot.

Race 4

(8) SIR JAMES has a ton of speed and he can easily overcome the outside post and go wire-to-wire. (5) KEGLER HANOVER looks to be on the improve for Team Takter. (4) MARCH AWARENESS has some ability, needs to stay flat.

Race 5

(3) FASHION BLIZZARD is right back in off his gutsy score up at Yonkers; NY-sired colt is clearly the most accomplished here. (6) MY MAN CAN has plenty of Stakes experience. (9) ARCTIC TALE broke last out; ignore that race and the Burke trainee has the speed to be involved here.

Race 6

(4) NOVASCOTIA HANOVER has had her moments in her brief career and I believe she'll attract some attention here, especially with Sears in the bike. (3) RITASCAPE has been pretty solid up at Vernon; that form should translate well here. (6) AUTHORIZE shows a :25 4/5 close for victory at The Big M; we don't see that every day.

Race 7

(3) CAVEAT EMPTOR has been a solid earner for the always potent Schnittker stable; he should be in a perfect stalking spot from this post. (1) SPIDER BLUE CHIP is hard to endorse with all those breaks; but if you look back a month or so you see solid efforts which hint at serious ability. (5) POSSESSED FASHION has speed, is endurance the issue?

Race 8

(3) ETRUSCAN HANOVER debuts for new connections and the freshman lands Sears in the bike; I suspect he'll attract all the attention at the windows. (6) MUSCLE MOUNTAIN appears to be underperforming when compared to his barnmates; any Takter trainee must be respected. (4) SWISS ALPS gets Pierce off a confidence-building victory.

Race 9

(4) IF I DIDNT CARE has been knocking heads with some tough seasoned foes at Balmoral; this may actually be an easier spot here. (1) RYDER BLUE CHIP had a decent season on the NY Sire Stakes circuit. (3) REAL RAVISHING has had moderate success at Philly; can trainer Alagna sweep the top three spots here?

Race 10

(2) HOBSONS CHOICE may have been a touch overmatched in stakes competition up in Canada, but appears to be going fast enough to compete here. (3) THEATRICAL SESSION is still a maiden, but he's hinted at some live moves. (4) PUNXSUTAWNEY has been successful on the PA circuit.

Race 11

(6) NIKKI BEACH blasted down the road at Indy Downs; Filly clearly is the most accomplished here and she deserves to be the favorite. (4) SOUTH PACIFIC has loads of speed which puts her in the mix. (2) EXOTIC BEACH is another in a line of successful Somebeachsomewhere offspring.

Race 12

All eyes will be on (3) DETOUR HANOVER. High-priced, royally-bred youngster passed his first test at Pocono. (8) UP FRONT N CRAZY picks up Pierce, and that makes his worthy of consideration. (1) SOUTHWIND METALLIC could threaten, needs to stay flat.
