Rainbow View passes Juvenile Fillies Turf

Trainer John Gosden said Tuesday that the sensational English filly Rainbow View is not being considered for the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf. She is now expected to run in the Juvenile Fillies on the Pro-Ride surface.

Rainbow View, a Kentucky-bred owned by George Strawbridge, is unbeaten in four starts. Her recent victory in the Group 1 Meon Valley Stud Fillies Mile at Ascot earned her a guaranteed berth in the Juvenile Fillies Turf.

C Karma breezed five-eighths in a bullet 59 seconds over Woodbine's Polytrack on Monday, much to the delight of trainer Greg De Gannes.

"She worked brilliantly," De Gannes said. "The track was playing very fast. She galloped out [three-quarters] in 1:12. She went by herself and was well within herself."

C Karma earned her way into the Juvenile Fillies Turf by capturing the Grade 3 Natalma Stakes, a Win and You're In race Sept. 14 at Woodbine.

De Gannes said C Karma will work again this weekend before shipping to Kentucky, from where she will be flown to California.

"She's doing awfully well," De Gannes said. "She's put the weight back on that she lost after the Natalma, which was a very difficult race for her."
