ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Rahy’s Attorney ($3.40) won the $125,000 Bunty Lawless Stakes for the third time Saturday at Woodbine, in front-running style.

Rahy’s Attorney was reunited with jockey Slade Callaghan, who piloted him to victory in the Grade 1 Woodbine Mile in 2008. Callaghan hadn’t ridden him since they finished seventh in the ’09 Woodbine Mile.

Sand Cove, the 2008 Bunty Lawless winner, and last year’s runner-up, finished a clear second. Guipago, who was rank on the lead for the first eighth before dropping back, nosed out Mobthewarrior for third in the five-horse field of Ontario-sired runners.

“He ran really well today,” said Callaghan. “He ran like the champion that he is.”

The Ian Black-trained Rahy’s Attorney banked $75,000 for Ellie Boje Farm and partners.
