SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Rachel Alexandra, the reigning Horse of the Year, drew post 2 and was made the 2-5 morning-line favorite for Sunday’s Grade 1, $300,000 Personal Ensign Stakes at Saratoga.

It will be Rachel Alexandra’s first start in a Grade 1 race since she won the Woodward against older males here last September. Rachel Alexandra, who has won both the Fleur de Lis and the Lady’s Secret stakes in her last two starts, will carry high weight of 122 pounds under jockey Calvin Borel. This will be her first start at 1 1/4 miles.

Her main competition figures to be Life At Ten, a winner of six consecutive races including the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps and the Grade 2 Delaware Handicap, who drew post 3 and was made the 5-2 second choice by NYRA linemaker Eric Donovan.

The remainder of the field comprises Miss Singhsix, who breaks from the rail; Persistently, who drew post 3; and Classofsixtythree, who breaks from post 5.

The Personal Ensign will go as race 10 on an 11-race card.
