Quick times at final OBS under-tack session


LEXINGTON, Ky. - Eight 2-year-olds topped the worktab Friday with 10-second works over an eighth of a mile at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's final under-tack session for its spring juvenile sale.

The fastest eighth-mile workers were Hip No. 1038, a Northern Afleet-Singapore Sting filly; Hip No. 1055, a Littleexpectations-Snooker colt; Hip No. 1078, an Officer-Spanish Glitter filly; Hip No. 1117, a City Zip-Sugar Cake filly; Hip No. 1142, a Posse-Sweet Tejano filly; Hip No. 1162, a Deputy Wild Cat-Thats Amore filly; Hip No. 1273, an Orientate-Violet Lady colt; and Hip No. 1276, a Cuvee-Wacissa colt.

The best time for a quarter-mile work was the 21 seconds turned in by Hip No. 1094, a Monashee Mountain-Spring colt.

The session's fastest three-eighths-mile time was the 33.40 seconds that Hip No. 1294 posted. The colt is by Black Mambo out of Willa.

The OBS spring 2-year-old auction is to run from April 21-24, with sessions beginning daily at 10:30 a.m. at the OBS facility in Ocala, Fla.
