Guy Caballero is a multigenerational member of Sean and Dorothy Fitzhenry’s breeding program, tracing back to the gelding’s second dam, the winning Affirmed mare Minnie’s Meadow.

Dixie Chicken was the most successful of Minnie’s Meadow’s three winners from six runners, winning four races at distances between a mile and 1 1/16 miles. She also finished third in the 2010 Ontario Colleen Stakes at a mile.

Guy Caballero is Dixie Chicken’s first foal and has won at 1 1/16 miles and placed in the Display Stakes at the same distance.

Quality Road, an 11-year-old son of Elusive Quality, won eight of 13 starts, including four Grade 1 victories. He took the Florida Derby, Woodward Stakes, and Donn Handicap at 1 1/8 miles; the Metropolitan Handicap at a mile; and stretched out to 1 1/4 miles to run second in the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and third in the Travers Stakes.

Quality Road has sired four crops of racing age, with 148 winners and progeny earnings in excess of $14.7 million. He received perhaps his biggest boost in May when his daughter Abel Tasman won the Kentucky Oaks at 1 1/8 miles.

Other notable runners by Quality Road include Hootenanny, who won the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at a mile; Illuminant, who took the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes at 1 1/8 miles; Frank Conversation, who won a pair of graded stakes at 1 1/8 miles; Blofeld, who won the Grade 2 Nashua Stakes and Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Handicap at a mile; and Klimt, a Grade 1 winner at seven furlongs.
