Saturday is the day tournament players have been waiting for, with three major qualifiers happening on DRF Tournaments. The contests are expected to rely heavily on Belmont Park’s stakes-laden Stars and Stripes card. Players should consider multi-tabling in this trio of exciting events. First up is the Grade 1 qualifier for the World Championship of Handicapping. The buy-in costs $580, and one in 10 players will win their $5,000 buy-ins to the no-takeout WCH. The WCH is an online contest Jan. 27-28 featuring only 200 entries. Based on full participation, the purse will be $1 million. Players also can win into the Grade 1 qualifiers in first-round contests that cost $95 and advance one in seven entries. Next up is a qualifier for the Del Mar Handicapping Championship on July 29-30. Players put up $400, and one in 22 will advance to the Del Mar contest, one of the summer’s richest and most prestigious live-bankroll events. To add to Del Mar’s appeal, any player who wins that contest and goes on to win the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge will receive a $1 million bonus. Last but not least is a qualifier for the Wynn Challenge, a mythical-money event Aug. 4-5 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Saturday’s qualifier is an all-in event, meaning all picks are locked in before the scheduled post time of the first race. It costs $108 to play, and one in 27 entries will win $2,000 seats and $500 in travel. Additionally, DRFT has been running Wynn qualifiers that cost $290 and send one in 10 entrants to the main event. Interested players should keep an eye out for those in the near future. DRFT is also offering a full slate of feeders, matchups, winner-takes-all events, and credit builders, including a special $50 buy-in contest with a $3,000 purse (based on full participation).
