Qualifiers for three major tournaments Saturday

Saturday is the day tournament players have been waiting for, with three major qualifiers happening on DRF Tournaments. The contests are expected to rely heavily on Belmont Park’s stakes-laden Stars and Stripes card. Players should consider multi-tabling in this trio of exciting events.

First up is the Grade 1 qualifier for the World Championship of Handicapping. The buy-in costs $580, and one in 10 players will win their $5,000 buy-ins to the no-takeout WCH. The WCH is an online contest Jan. 27-28 featuring only 200 entries. Based on full participation, the purse will be $1 million. Players also can win into the Grade 1 qualifiers in first-round contests that cost $95 and advance one in seven entries.

Next up is a qualifier for the Del Mar Handicapping Championship on July 29-30. Players put up $400, and one in 22 will advance to the Del Mar contest, one of the summer’s richest and most prestigious live-bankroll events. To add to Del Mar’s appeal, any player who wins that contest and goes on to win the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge will receive a $1 million bonus. DRFT’s qualifiers will receive their $7,000 buy-ins for Del Mar and $500 in travel.

The WCH and Del Mar qualifiers are live events, meaning players can change their selections until post time of each race.

Last but not least is a qualifier for the Wynn Challenge, a mythical-money event Aug. 4-5 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Saturday’s qualifier is an all-in event, meaning all picks are locked in before the scheduled post time of the first race. It costs $108 to play, and one in 27 entries will win $2,000 seats and $500 in travel.

Additionally, DRFT has been running Wynn qualifiers that cost $290 and send one in 10 entrants to the main event. Interested players should keep an eye out for those in the near future.

DRFT is also offering a full slate of feeders, matchups, winner-takes-all events, and credit builders, including a special $50 buy-in contest with a $3,000 purse (based on full participation). There’s no better way to fund your contest play than to win your bankroll.
