The undefeated Gladyousawme will be racing around one turn for the first time Sunday when he attempts to run his record to 4 for 4 in a division of the Louisiana Futurity at Fair Grounds. The $104,930 race for colts and geldings will share a card with the $96,430 fillies division of the Louisiana Futurity. Both stakes are at six furlongs and are restricted to 2-year-olds bred in Louisiana.Gladyousawme is part of a competitive 12-horse field that includes Givemeaminit, the third-place finisher in the Grade 1 Hopeful in September at Saratoga; Ready Prospector, a two-time stakes winner; and Divine Bean, who is from the female family of millionaire Sunbean.Gladyousawme launched his career Sept. 27 at Indiana Grand, winning a maiden special weight at a mile on turf. From there, Gladyousawme won a first-level allowance at two turns Oct. 28 at Delta Downs before capturing Delta’s $150,000 Legacy at a mile in his most recent start Nov. 18. “I like the horse around two turns, but he’s 3 for 3, done nothing wrong, and I do think he’s got enough speed to be in the game,” said Brad Cox, who trains Gladyousawme for Klein Racing. “The long stretch should help at Fair Grounds.” Corey Lanerie has the mount on Gladyousawme, a son of the El Prado stallion Due Date who will break from post 2.Givemeaminit is a maiden but has made his last four starts in graded stakes. He was beaten just a neck in the Hopeful and finished fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on Nov. 4 at Del Mar. Givemeaminit enters the Louisiana Futurity off an eighth-place finish in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes on Nov. 25 at Churchill Downs. Givemeaminit, who is making his first start against Louisiana-breds, is a son of Star Guitar who races for Valene Farms. Trainer Dallas Stewart has given the mount to Shaun Bridgmohan. Greeley Went West won the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile on Dec. 9 at Fair Grounds to improve his career record to 2 for 2, and the Beyer Speed Figure of 75 he earned is the co-highest last-race number in the Louisiana Futurity. He shares the distinction with Gladyousawme.Minit to Stardom is the probable favorite for the fillies division Sunday. She is undefeated in two starts, and her wins have come by a combined margin of 12 1/2 lengths. Minit to Stardom won her debut in a maiden special weight Nov. 18 at Fair Grounds, then on Dec. 9 won the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Lassie there. Lanerie has the mount on Minit to Stardom from the rail in the seven-horse field. Al Stall Jr. trains Minit to Stardom, a daughter of Star Guitar and the multiple stakes-winning mare Wild About Marie, for her breeder, Brittlyn Stables. Champagne Diva will get good support off a sharp maiden special weight win for which she earned a Beyer of 76, the best number in the field Sunday.
