BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, November 8th by Bob Fierro and Jay Kilgore

Email

We thought Super Beau was an excellent “key” last week and even though he was probably ridden too confidently, he showed great speed at the end to complete a $117 exacta, while Bader, whom we also liked a lot, hung on after contesting the pace to complete a $852 trifecta.  Now we come to the “hush our mouths” part: After several weeks when there were multiple BreezeFigs gimmicks across the country in maiden races, last week actually produced none.  The only BreezeFigs gimmick, in fact, came in the off-the-turf Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint which was taken by Ocho Ocho Ocho who combined with Peacenluvpeacenluv for a paltry $15.50 exacta for a buck.  Still, it was another successful week for BreezeFigs maiden winners (18) and stakes winners (4).  The maidens came at Aqueduct (2), Churchill (4), Charles Town (2), Gulfstream West, Penn National, Parx (3), Santa Anita, Turf Paradise and Woodbine (2). Lady Eli was most impressive in winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, Blofeld remained undefeated in the Nashua, and Academy Bay won the Indiana Futurity.  Today’s card is once again loaded, with one particular favorite of ours from the sales making his debut, see below. Good luck!
