Weather Dodger overcame post 11 for a three-quarter length win over Hit a Lick in the $85,000 Albert Dominguez Memorial Handicap on Saturday at Sunland Park. It was another neck back in third to Shining Source. The Dominguez was a 1 1/16-mile race for 4-year-olds and up bred in New Mexico. Weather Dodger ($17.60) stalked a contested pace, with That’s Who taking the field through an opening quarter-mile in 23.60 seconds and Song of Laura moving to the lead through a half-mile in 46.77 and six furlongs in 1:10.48.
