Point Given's dam in sale

Hookedonthefeelin, a Grade 1 winner and producer, and Turko's Turn, the dam of 2001's Horse of the Year Point Given, are among the mares ClassicStar will disperse at this year's Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall mixed sale. The auction is to take place Nov. 5 in Lexington, Ky.

ClassicStar, a commercial breeding partnership, announced this summer that it would sell many of its mares in the coming year. Fasig-Tipton's chief operating officer, Boyd Browning, said Thursday that ClassicStar would sell about 75 mares in November. Hookedonthefeelin, winner of the 1999 La Brea Stakes and dam of 2006 Grade 1 winner Pussycat Doll, will be offered in foal to Distorted Humor. Turko's Turn, 2001's broodmare of the year, will sell in foal to Storm Cat.

Other standouts in the ClassicStar draft include Regal Miss Copelan, the dam of multiple graded winner Rockport Harbor, in foal to Rockport Harbor's sire, Unbridled's Song; and Ballado's Halo, a stakes-placed full sister to two-time champion Ashado, in foal to Elusive Quality.

The mares will sell through the Taylor Made agency.
