Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 29 - Oct. 3

Tuesday, September 29

JB OUI OUI (NW6000) left and tucked, pulled and brushed passing the half, got stung taking the lead, cleared the top and battled gamely through the lane but was nipped in the last steps. Beaten favorite can atone with better trip.

MOTOR SHARK (NW5) jogged to victory leaving plenty in the tank for next adventure.

FATEFUL CHOICE (NW6000) was out to a quick tuck, pulled to the half, challenged the pace to the lane, tired but stayed longer than he should have. Gameness can never be discounted and he can get it done with better racing luck.

CHARMEDNDANGEROUS (NW3/2-4YOFM) put in a very credible two-move effort in last proving next best as the two favorites proved to be the two best.

MR FANTASY (NW3/2-4YO) was forced to go wide passing the third panel and was stuck deep too long. Live cover could be enough to get the job done.

Wednesday, September 30

LA DIABLA (NW3/2-4YOFM) rushed home strongest from second over to be the only off the pace horse to win on a night when speed or the pocket won every other race.

JACLYN HANOVER (NW3/2-4YOFM) closed strong and game between horses in the same race only to be nipped on the wire.

LUVNIECETOPIECES (NW3/2-4YOFM) left to the top in same race, got shuffled and got briefly behind a fast-fading pocket horse. Cleared inside heading home with good rally.

KEYSTONE WANDA (NW13000FM) chased in the pocket second best in good effort.

ICAPELLA HANOVER (NW5/2-4YOFM) finished full of pace and was going best at the end but ran out of track.

Friday, October 2

PRICELESS EDITION (CLMHCP5/7000) got buried along the way and cleared too late to give his best. Beaten favorite can get it done with right trip.

MR CANDYMAN (CLMHCP7500/10000) brushed to command, won for fun as the prohibitive favorite and will be hard to be denied in next.

MACS STAR (NW1/2YO) closed gamely inside but had too far to come.

HEZ A BUCKEYE (NW3000) put in a good effort in last. He left, yielded, retook, set the pace under hard pressure from two separate challengers and tired.

Saturday, October 3

IT REALLY MATTERS (NW19500) got a bad shuffle as the field bunched up, closed well but had lost the needed step or two.

ACHILLES BLUE CHIP (NW9501) closed a ton to win going away and has to be considered a strong possibility to take another.

MACH IT SO (OPEN) went down the road, put away third panel pressure and drew off easily. Should keep rolling.

BETTOR'S EDGE (OPEN) came uncovered and challenged the pacesetting odds on favorite before tiring. Should find a win soon.

SUMMER CAMP (NW13000) went down the road and was second best to the odds on favorite who was pocketsitting and waiting to pounce.
