Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 10 - Sept. 12

Saturday, September 10

VAGUE TRACES (NW12000) brushed past the half to gain the lead, opened a couple but was nipped on the wire. Can get it done with same move if a bit tighter.

SO TAKE THAT (CLM15000) had tiring cover, came wide late in the final turn with game finish but had a few steps too far to come.

ACCOUNT ROLLOVER (NW6100) closed well from second over but ran out of track.

SPEED AGAIN (NW12000) put in a solid uncovered effort chasing the speed and proved second best.

Sunday, September 11

MAKER YANKEE (STALLION) was backed up a bit in the final turn by a quitting horse, escaped wide, rallied well and closed with good effort at 60-1.

STIRLING DEBUTANT (NW6000) came wide in the final turn and closed with good energy from far back.

BLOWNOUTOFTHEWATER (STALLION) finished full of trot from third over.

COOGAN (NW1) beaten favorite was tucking the three hole into the first turn when wiped out by a breaker.

CRAZY ABOUT PAT (NW225000) was quick to the lead, yielded, got shuffled, pulled and brushed to the lead, set a steady clip and was well in hand through the lane.

Monday, September 12

ON THE SLY (CLMHCP20/25000) was parked the mile, wore down the favored pacesetter and cruised by impressively the last quarter.

DONT STARE (CLMHCP125/15000M) went down the road only to be second best as the tripped out favorite closed from the pocket.

LAKEVIEW TAMMY (CLMHCP125/15000) rushed up uncovered, challenged but flattened quickly. Do not ignore in next race or two.

CAVIART CHERIE (NW2/2YOF) swung wide into the lane and finished full of pace but had too far to come.
