Pocono: Horses to watch from Oct. 15 - Oct. 18

Email

Saturday, October 15

GUANTANAMO BAY (NW6000) battled two challengers and was a very game second to the odds-on favorite.

CLEAR VISION (NW16500) closed strongly from the back of the pack in last and earns a long look in next race or two.

YS LOTUS (NW13000) got parked the mile uncovered, challenged and tired past the third panel.

TO BEACH HIS OWN (10000CLM) was a hard used, dead game second in last to prohibitive favorite. Left, tucked, pulled, challenged, tucked again, came on through the lane and never stopped putting out.

Sunday, October 16

OAKIE (NW1) brushed and crushed in last leaving plenty in the tank.

EXOTIC WAGER (NW1) broke at the start and came on last with strong finish. Watch the board.

HAVE NOT READ IT (NW5) did pretty much the same as the one above and both come from same barn. Stay alert to the board.

RUFO (NW5) finished full of pace in last and can get it done in next.

TYLER THE TERROR (NW7) had some rally inside but had to take up when running out of room.

ARE Y0U TERRY (NW1FM) finished best of all but had much too far to come.

Monday, October 17

GURL BAND K (NW2FM) brushed after the field settled, took the lead and drew off easily.

CELEBRITY LOVER (NW2) took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and rolled home much the best.

TAXED TO THE MAX (NW3000) closed strongly but just missed in most recent.

DANCINGWITHDELIGHT (NW5) tucked, got shuffled, cleared around traffic passing third call as the lead changed, rallied inside but could not get there. Beaten favorite should be hard to beat in next outing.

BRINGHOME THEBLUE (NW3000) was parked to the lead, went down the road and closed strongly.

Tuesday, October 18

BETTOR THAN SILK (NW5FM) closed a ton from back of the pack at nearly 100-1 and has to be respected in next.

YOUNG AMERICAN (NW9000M) hit her stride in the lane from a distant 4th over in last outing.

THE MUSCLE TOUCH (NW3FM) left well to the lead, yielded for the pocket, tipped heading home, swung wide and finished best of all to be second best at  37-1.

TWIN B SPORTSMAN (NW3) finished hell bent for leather at 39-1 in most recent and earns long look in next.

AMERICAN MAJOR (NW12000M) was parked the mile, challenged a long way and tired.
