Pocono: Horses to watch from Oct. 13 - Oct. 14

Tuesday, October 13

DREAMS OF THUNDER (NW3000) took a quick tuck to avoid trouble, pulled as the speed settled, brushed to the lead, set own clip and was wrapped up on cruise control through the stretch proving speed, no pressure and staying flat are a winning combination.

OLD MAN CLEARY (NW1/2-4YO) was bet like a lock, rated on the front end like a lock and won as locks are supposed to. Tasting victory for the first time may appeal to him and return immediate dividents--more wins.

HARE CRAFT (NW6000) left to a tuck, got a mild shuffle, sat to the lane, tipped and closed well but a step or two late. Showing speed at both ends should lead to a quick win.

POUNCE HANOVER (NW6750) jogged on the front end to easy win and will be hard to deny if allowed to roam on the front untested in next.

Wednesday, October 14

JACLYN HANOVER (NW3/2-4YOFM) left well, tucked, pulled to the half, challenged gamely, wore down the speed but was outkicked by the tripped out pocketsitter.

SOUTHWIND WARSAW (NW13000) took an early tuck, pulled to the half, raced uncovered chasing the speed on a speed favoring night and tired in the lane.

CLASSIC CARPET (NW13000M) found an early tuck, pulled to the half, challenged hard at 14-1 and weakened in the lane. Should be along in time with a better trip.

MARATHON DAY (NW20000FM) flashed some good late foot. Comes from smart barn who will find her a winning spot.

WINDSON LINDSEY (NW3/2-4YOFM) rushed to the lead, set her own pace and scored convincingly.
