Saturday Afternoon, May 5 BEGINNERS LUCK (CLMHCP10/125000) went down the road drawing away as much the best and should be tough to beat in next race or two. NOX VEGAS BLUECHIP (NW36000) tucked early, pulled and brushed to the lead at 28-1 and dug in but was nailed in the last steps. MOOSE MADNESS (NW6000) tucked passing the quarter, pulled past the half, challenged, took a short lead but could not last. Will be tough if just a bit tighter. Saturday Evening, May 5 MARTY MONKHOUSER A (NW12000) closed stoutly from an impossible spot. Will win soon---somewhere.  CAVIART LUCA (NW12000) went to the top, yielded, got shuffled, cleared heading home with game rally. Beaten favorite can atone with better trip. MISS HILL (WEISS) was behind poor cover at 23-1, had to go wide, cleared, followed good cover and closed gamely. Sunday, April 6 ALVISI HANOVER (NW1) went down the road gamely at 20-1 holding off all but the wide-closing favorite. ACHILLES BLUE CHIP (NW3200) closed wide and strong from 5th over and just missed catching the pacesetting favorite at 18-1.  STRIKING VOLO (NW4000) was badly bothered early, setttled, rallied well and closed strong from third over to nail second in last stride. JOE SIX PACK (NW1) tucked, raced second over, rallied gamely but was outfinished over the wet track. Monday, May 7 LITTLE MACABEE (CLMHCP10/125000) left and decided to take a tuck, came uncovered to the half, challenged to the final turn, proved best of the rest as the two favorites slugged it out to the wire. Can show quick improvement with better trip. ALWAYS A VISION (CLMHCP15/20000M) sat to the rear, swung wide and closed best of all ta 6-1. Should get luckier in next race or two. PA'S CORN SQUEEZIN (CLMHCP10/125000M) took a quick lead, yielded, sat pocket and flew by for the convincing score. TEQUILA TALKIN (NW2) flew home from 3rd over and earns long look in next race or two. Tuesday, May 8 RUSTY CARTER (CLM7500) took a quick lead, yielded, retook and drew off as much the best leaving plenty for next effort. VOLARE (NW4) came uncovered and battled the pacesetting odds-on winner proving second best. STREET BOY (NW4) closed stoutly from a long way off. Beaten favorite just missed and can atone in quick order. DOCTOR MCSWING (NW3500) finished with good energy betweeen horses and could be tough with right trip.
