Pocono: Horses to watch from May 5 - May 6

Email

Tuesday, May 5

RISE ABOVE IT (CLM7500) grinded a long way uncovered and proved second best in the lane.

CELEBRITY LAMBO (NW1/3-4YO) was parked the mile pressing the pace to late final turn before tiring.

YOU ROCK MY WORLD (NW11000) was parked, tried to tuck but the space was too tight and he broke. Should get better racing luck in next.

BEAT THE DRUM (NW5/3-4YO) was parked the mile in last, gained cover to the half, went wide in the final turn as cover gave way, rallied gamely to the end and earns some respect for next.

GIRLOFYOUDREAMS (NW3/3-4YOFM) was uncovered a long way and rallied gamely to the end but was unable to get to the odds-on favorite.

Wednesday, May 6

TERROR ATTACK (NW1/3-4YO) took the lead, yielded, retook, yielded again and got shuffled, rallied gamely for second as the pacesetting winner got away. Any improvement in racing luck could be enough.

BERKSHIRE (NW5000) came uncovered, challenged hard to the lane, weakened to the pacesetter but was ouitkicked by the tripped-out favored pocket-sitting winner.

DE VINS GIRL (NW7200M) went down the road as far as she could but came up a bit short at the end. It was a bad night for speed and this one can get it done on the right night.

P L EUREKA (CLMHCP15/20000) was nailed on the wire in game front stepping effort. Prohibitive favorite should atone in near future.

GOLD COAST MUSCLE (NW1/3-4YO) brushed and crushed in huge variant buster at 10 cents on the dollar and looms large as repeat winner.
