Pocono: Horses to watch from May 21 - May 27

Wednesday, May 21

RING LEDA (CLMHCP15/20000) had some traffic problems the last quarter, tipped in the lane, dodged to the rail in the late stages with fast finish but it was too late.

FLYING COWBOY (NW5) got stuck behind a dead one on the turn losing best chance, shook loose late and would have been a factor.

RENEWAL NOTICE (CLMHCP125/15000) was parked a long way grinding into contention but finished full of trot once in the lane to miss by only a neck.

LUCYS PEARL (NW13000) was in the pocket heading home, had to be forced out, tipped wide, lost best action, bore out, settled and came on with good rally but had too far to come once her mind was back on business.

Saturday, May 24

CADILLAC PHIL (NW20000) Was widest and strong coming through the lane.

NITESICANTREMEMBER (CLM25000) Was quick to the lead, yielded, got shuffled when the winner brushed, finished full of pace but much too late.

ART Z (CLM12500) Was used hard passed the three-quarters to gain the lead, yielded to the winner and was done.

MORGAN SHARK (CLM20000) Was on his own to the wire in impressive victory and should take another.

ANDERLECHT (NW15000) Won another one with no signs of slowing down.

Sunday, May 25

CHOCOLATE CRACKERS (NW1) Was a very impressive seocnd last time out to the odds on prohibitive favorite and earns long look against similar.

STEP ON IT (NW1FM) Left to the top, yielded, retook, set a pressed pace, put away the challenger but was outkicked by the fresher second-over winner.

APRIL SUNSHINE (CLM7500) Closed a ton from a very distant third over in poor outer flow and just missed by a head.

SOMWHEROVRARAINBOW (PRFM) Tucked, brushed and crushed so easily it should be like giving money away in next.

DEEP FINESSE (NW4000) Ran out of track in last coming home swiftly from far back.

Tuesday, May 27

WAR CRY HALL (NW15000) Left well, tucked, pulled and brushed to the top, rallied gamely but the winner was just too quick in the lane.

STARNIGHT DANCER (NW2FM) Put in a solid effort at 77-1 last time. She went to the top, yielded, got shuffled a bit, pulled uncovered, chased the two favorites to the late stages before tiring. Should find a field to her liking soon.

LEAVEUMLADY (NW7200M) Was used to the lead, faced pressure all the way from the parked out favorite, refused to yield, went as far as she could and tired.

WALK THE WALK (NW2) Left, took an early tuck rather than debate the early pace, settled, pulled and went to the top and waved goodbye in laugher.
