Pocono: Horses to watch from June 2 to June 7

Tuesday, June 2

UNION MAN HANOVER (NW7300) battled long and hard uncovered, bore out in the lane but gutted it out for second to the tripped-out winner.

GOLD COAST MUSCLE (NW2) put in a dead game long uncovered mile to earn the win at .70 on the dollar. Gamester earned respect and gets another look.

LYONS SHADOW (NW3/3-4YOFM) pounced early, got away and was wrapped up for the easy score. Should be quite formidable in next race.

HASTY PROFIT (NW7000) rallied to tuck in the pocket on the final turn to breakaway speed, chased to the wire, but was nailed by the winner's fresher legs. Beaten favorite can atone.

MILLION MILES (NW1) favorite closed a ton, won going away and earns a look in next.

Wednesday, June 3

KG ROCKS (NW1/3-4YOFM) chased the speedy winner coming uncovered and proved second best.

IMAGINE DRAGON (NW1/3-4YOFM) miss was parked to the lead, met last turn pressure from the above but was easily best in variant-busting effort.

AMERICAN ALIVE (NW5/3-4YOFM) made two early breaks which proved obviously very costly. Beaten favorite showed good speed when flat.

PROUD MOMENT (CLMHCP15/20000) left, tucked, came uncovered, chased the two favorites all the way home but was only next best. Should find the right spot soon.

CRAZY ON YOU (NW7000M) finished full of pace from an impossible spot and would be no surprise.

Saturday, June 6

ACHILLES BLUE CHIP (CLM15000) sat pocket and was second best to the short-priced favorite. Can reverse the finish with any kind of racing luck.

ROCKIN RAMBARAN (CLM20000) sat pocket and was second best to the odds-on pacesetting favorite. Should be able to find the right field soon.

ROCKY MOUNTAIL GUY (NW15000) was inside with pace and eyes on more of the prize; began to rally, got in tight, took up late and broke. Barn was hot that night finishing first or second in seven exactas. Could he have been number eight with some luck?

SPARKY MARK (NW22000) veteran still has some toughness in him as he proved in last, knocking off the pacesetting favorite and the pocket-sitting second favorite with a game uncovered trip.

Sunday, June 7

GALARINA (CLM15000FM) took a tuck, got the shuffle to third, pulled uncovered and put in a credible effort for third-place finish.

MUSCLESPRINTCTONIAN (CLM11000) charged home gamely from third over to nail it on the wire. Late closing favorite will be heard from again.

GHOST HOUSE (CLM11000) put in a good down the road effort in last only to be nailed by the odds-on favorite.

ALEXIS STYLE (NW3000) won from the pocket as he pleased in last. Barn was competitive all day Sunday and needs to be considered.
