Pocono: Horses to watch from Apr. 26 - Apr. 29


Sunday, April 26

DREAMIN OF LORI (NW4600M) was parked to the top, set the pace under last quarter pressure from the favorite and was second best on the wire for second time in a row. Third time can be the charm.

GOLD BEACH (NW1/3-4YOFM) was on the lead quickly, battled with the odds-on favorite the last quarter and was a nose short at the wire. Should find her way to the winners circle often.

IMA GOLD DIGGER N (Clm7,500/10,000) left, tucked, pulled to the half, rushed uncovered, challenged the final turn, took the lead heading home was was outkicked in the late stages by the pocket sitter.

SHOCK N ROCK (NW5) charged home and just missed. Beaten favorite will atone in quick order.

Tuesday, April 28

BARTIZAN (NW1/3-4YO) rallied around a tiring horse in the final turn, took the pocket and chased the winner home with good trot.

JIMS DRAGON (NW4500) left, tucked, pulled uncovered, pressed the pace to the final turn before tiring and was earns a look next race or two.

WORKOUT WONDER (NW3/3-4YO) took a tuck early, pulled to the third panel and challenged, could not get by the odds-on favorite but was easily next best.

AMERICAN ALIVE (NW3/3-4YOFM) yielded and retook, set a pressed pace and dug in gamely only to get nailed by the odds-on favorite's inside rally.

JUSTIN ON BROADWAY (NW5/3-4YO) rallied uncovered and challenged hard to the lane, could not hold off the late rallies of the two favorites but was safely best of the rest in game effort.

Wednesday, April 29

GORDYS FILLY YENTA (NW4500M) finished full of pace but a step too late in last at 20-1 and earns more respect in next.

ENVIOUS HANOVER (NW4500M) left strong, took the lead, yielded to the prohibitive favorite, stalked in the pocket, rallied very tough through the lane giving the favorite all she could handle.

ALI DE VIE (CLMHCP75/10000) brushed and crushed in last and can take another if in the mood.

FRAC (CLMHCP15/20000) was buried deep on the rail to the lane, rallied ultra fast up the cones and has to be considered in next.

MC TAYLOR (NW7000M) got moving much too late in last. This beaten favorite can atone so do not ignore.
