Pleasanton: Planoncometbebopin

PLEASANTON, Calif. - Planoncometbebopin, ridden by Caesar Bisono, ran down favored Gifted Daughter in the final stages and scored a three-quarter-length victory in the $41,850 Pleasanton Senorita Stakes at the Alameda County Fair Wednesday.

Gifted Daughter broke sharply and opened a clear lead in the mile and 70-yard race for

3-year-old fillies, while Planoncometbebopin rated in third place, just in front of the 2-1 Color Me Special.

Color Me Special moved past Planoncometbebopin on the final turn and challenged Gifted Daughter in the stretch, but was unable to get by. Planoncometbebopin, meanwhile, shifted to the outside and ran them both down in the stretch. Gifted Daughter held on to finish second by two lengths, and Color Me Special finished third in the field of six.

Planoncometbebopin, owned by her breeders, Reynold Schenck and Susan Smith, has now won three of her five starts and three of four on the main track. She ran the distance in 1:40.94, earned $23,350, and paid $17.40. Chuck Jenda trains her.
