Pleasantly Perfect gets in work

Pleasantly Perfect, the nation's top older horse, worked six furlongs in 1:12.20 on Wednesday, preparing for a start in the Breeders' Cup Classic at Lone Star Park on Oct. 30.

Trainer Richard Mandella timed Pleasantly Perfect galloping out seven furlongs in 1:26. Mandella emphasized that Pleasantly Perfect is unlikely to start again until the Breeders' Cup, but said the 6-year-old is on a steady pattern of working every five or six days.
