Concealed Identity, winner of the Maryland Juvenile Championship in December, garnered another stakes victory on Saturday at Pimlico, winning the $65,000 Federico Tesio by two lengths over the favored Ruler on Ice.

With Sheldon Russell riding, Concealed Identity stayed in fourth for a half-mile off the pace set by Balto More through a quarter-mile in 23.86 and 47.26 seconds in the 1 1/16-mile Tesio. Circling his rivals on the far turn, Concealed Identity took the lead nearing the quarter pole and drew clear of the field in midstretch. Ruler on Ice, near the back of the seven-horse field in the early going, rallied wide with a late run but could not catch the winner, settling for second, a neck in front of J W Blue.

Iscar, Moonlite Grinder, Balto More, and Argentine Talisman completed the order of finish.

Concealed Identity finished in 1:45.67 over a fast track. A 3-year-old son Maryland-bred son of Smarty Jones, he is trained Edmond Gaudet.
