Pimlico: Tam's Terms tries again

Tam's Terms, who failed as the even-money favorite coming off a five-month layoff in last year's Henry S. Clark Stakes, returns under similar circumstances in this year's running of the $50,000 turf stakes at Pimlico.

The 7-year-old Tam's Terms finished third, beaten 11 1/2 lengths, when he made his season debut in the 2004 Clark. He now makes his first start since November.

In his favor, Tam's Terms is 3 for 4 over Pimlico's turf course and was good enough to finish second in last fall's Grade 3 Cliffhanger at The Meadowlands.

The 4-year-old Gunning For has back class but hasn't done much lately. In his final start at 3, Gunning For won the Grade 3 Lawrence Realization at Belmont Park. He hasn't been better than fourth in two starts this year, both at Tampa Bay Downs.

Seven Talents has been sharp on the main track, winning his last two starts, and comes from the barn of King T. Leatherbury, who has won with five of his first 11 starters at the meet. Seven Talents's only win on grass came over yielding ground in a first-level allowance at Sam Houston in February 2004.
