Pimlico: Tacirring finds room

Jockey Eric Camacho guided Tacirring along a hole that opened up on the rail in the stretch and the 6-year-old gelding responded by drawing off to a 2 1/4-length win in the $50,000 Ben Cohen Stakes at Pimlico.

Trained by Scott Lake, Tacirring had only one horse beaten after the first three furlongs but finished fastest of all. He covered the five furlongs on firm turf in 57.99 seconds.

Midwatch, a 13-1 shot, finished second, 3 1/4 lengths ahead of 2-1 second choice Yankee Wildcat.

It was the third win in the last four starts for Tacirring ($5.80), who is now 7 for 33 lifetime.
