Love Happy (outside) outgames Pioneer Boy to take a neck decision in the $67,750 Fire Plug Stakes at Pimlico on Saturday.

Moving up in class after four straight victories made no difference to Love Happy.

A 5-year-old horse who was running against claimers until he was taken for $30,000 by trainer Howard Wolfendale, Love Happy ($4.20) outfought Pioneer Boy in deep stretch to get up by a neck in the $67,750 Fire Plug Stakes at Pimlico.

Love Happy, ridden by Ramon Dominguez, drew even with pacesetter Pioneer Boy with a furlong remaining and surged to the wire to win his fifth straight race since coming to Wolfendale's barn. He was timed in 1:09.76 for six furlongs.

Wolfendale said Love Happy would likely run next on the Preakness undercard in the Maryland Breeders' Cup.
